The Coaching Inn
Owned and run by the Pearce family, the Uig Hotel is one of the most popular hotels on the magical Isle of Skye. Here you can relax in complete comfort and sample wonderful Scottish hospitality, with some of the best scenery in Scotland on the doorstep. Uig sits above Uig Bay on the Trotternish peninsula and all but three of the eighteen rooms offer fantastic views of the bay and surrounding area. Uig has ferry connections with both Tarbert on Harris and Lochmaddy on North Uist. The Uig Hotel is just over a mile from the ferry terminal and is therefore ideally situated to offer accommodation and meals for ferry passengers.
The hotel is an ideal base, not just for exploring Skye itself, but for most of Scotland's Western Islands. A day trip to Harris is something not to be missed.

The Uig Hotel is an old coaching inn, with Sobhraig House, a former Steading above the hotel, having been converted into superior accommodation as well.

Reception
The family took over the hotel in 2003 and, under the overall management of Bill and Wendy Pearce, they have managed to create something special - a hotel that combines all the old fashioned values such as a warm welcome and great service with the modern ones of value for money and efficiency.
The Uig Hotel is open all day, and also serves morning coffee and light lunches. There is ample parking, and all around there are opportunities for sightseeing, watching wildlife, sport, or just taking it easy in a corner of Scotland where life seems to move at an easier pace! Dogs can be accommodated by arrangement.
